September 2011 desktop calender wallpaper

To kick off the soon-to-arrive fall season and to share yet another slice of italian life on this blog, from this month on I will be putting up desktop calendar images in relation to the current hot topic. Undoubtedly September is going to be a big month for cheese as Slow Food hosts the International Cheese Fair in Bra, and we plan to bring home a lot of pungent purchases to fill our fridge. The formaggi in this image was taken several years ago at the Fiera del Cacio in Pienza.

Mmmmmm...cheese!! Thanks for the link!
agree with Holly...mmm cheese :)
Wow thank you! Very generous of you to allow us your image for our own background. A good background for a computer is a must I find. I always change it to mood or season as well and Fall is one of my favourites!
Delicious cheese! I will be in Venice for a month in September of 2012 and I get 3 days off per week. What are some good festivals/events to attend that aren't too far away from me?

Love it, blocks of cheese, what's not to love about this? Hope you had a fabulous summer? Any plans for this fall?
Rowena, your lovely desktop wallpaper now rests comfortably on my laptop screen! What a wonderful idea! Brilliant! I love it!
I love cheese!
Hello ladies! - I'm happy that you think it was a great idea, and at first I thought, what's the point? But then I noticed in the blog stats that people really are looking for images to decorate their monitor screens so...now I just need to remember one image a month!
Murissa - lucky you! Venice has their gondola race and a few other events during September. Try this link for more details.

Great idea Rowena, but where is the credit you deserve on the image?
LindyLou - I wanted to keep the image as simple as possible, but I've got the original file that is open for licensing (via flickr) if anyone should want to do so.
Which licensing do you have on Flickr Rowena? Since hearing about your problems with your work being used elsewhere I am now taking the time (although it is time consuming so not all the time)to put my signature on my photos. Although I am not really sure if this helps stop people using your images or not. :( In fact I like people wanting to use my images it would be a compliment, but I would like credit.
LindyLou - terms of use are to the right on each image's landing page, but I've also added information in my profile. The problem becomes more involving if your image is already floating around on several sites sans credit, hence why the watermark thing is good. I actually dislike watermarks but make a practice of adding them on.
