Well we made it...
But not the one piece of luggage that was checked in, and it is already 26 hours after arriving on Kauai at 9pm on Sunday (now it is 11pm Monday). It should be arriving on Tuesday at 1pm and then another hour's wait for baggage service to deliver it to where we are staying.
There are worse things to be aggravated about other than no extra clothes to change into after being in the same outfit for over 24 hours, going through several different time zones, and sitting out a total of 18 hours of flight time in the air, but to be told that our luggage never even left Linate, Italy??? WTF? We weren't late in checking in so I can't understand why no one ever noticed a stray bag hanging around until I filed a lost luggage claim. I am so seething at British Airways for causing such inconvenience; first day of holiday wasted on running around in Walmart just for essentials alone. GRRRRRR!

I am so glad that you made it safely that is the most important thing. Luggage is next. Jump in the salt water to cure your fatigue while we are jealous over here. Ironically some of our family are on their way to Italy...how do the ginger and pikake smell? Heavenly I know!
Lady, come on, a savvy woman like you not carrying on? For shame! And now you have wasted a day in Walmart when you could have been sunbathing at this amazing beach! :) Here's hoping you get your luggage soon! Those British Airways people! Argh!

Kat - in 10 minutes it'll be 48 hours sans luggage and the complaint letter is getting longer. I have a feeling that it'll arrive when we are ready to leave.
Candylei - already checked into the salt water cure...and everything smells great!
Bella - sorry lady, maybe it works for you but I don't go the bag lady route (puh-lease!), and certainly not for a trip that'll take more than a day in and out airports.
Frizzy - you would not be green if you knew how much we had to PAY OUT to get here! And don't forget that we also had to put 2 dogs up at a pet hotel and the car at an airport park&fly.

Kat - I am just relieved that nothing of great value was in that luggage. American Airlines partners with BA so I made a claim through them since it was American that flew us over on the last leg of the trip. They said they tracked it down, but still no luggage! Maybe we'll get it today/Wednesday in Hawaii? Something tells me that it is lost as in RE-LOST (anything is possible) as in Africa or the North Pole this time! Argh
Oh my gosh, I've never had luggage lost, so I can't say that I know what it feels like, but no one should have to go through this...please take care!
Oh no, that's too bad about your luggage. But wow! You're on Kauai! So jealous. I haven't been back in months and I'm just on the next island over. I miss Kekaha beach!! Now I have to plan a trip back soon! Hope you got your luggage by now. Enjoy your stay!

Aww I hope you get your suitcase soon. That was my concern when I traveled to Europe. In any case have a wonderful time in the islands.
